Word of Thanks

Date: Sun, 20 Mar 2005 01:02:39 -0800 (PST)

[Dear] Pastor Nhien: (president of the North American Vietnamese Mennonite Fellowship)

Greetings to you in the love of the Lord Jesus:

Thank God that today I can again sit down and share with you. First I want to ask about the health of you and your family. May God continue to grant you new strength in your ministry. I want to also thank you, your family and the Christians brothers and sisters who prayed for me and my family during the days I was in prison.

I would like to express my deep thanks to the Church in Canada, the North American Vietnamese Mennonite Fellowship, and the [Mennonite] World [Conference] for praying for me and my family during the days I and the other brothers and sisters in the Vietnam Mennonite Church were persecuted. Thank God for his love, protection and peace in my life. After going through the prisons in Saigon and Binh Duong, on March 3, 2005 I was given freedom and reunited with my family. I am very moved with the concern and interest of all the pastors, evangelists and members of the Mennonite Church and the Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world for my wife and child during the time I was imprisoned. My strength is now normal, I can again work with my brothers and sisters in the Church in Vietnam. I want to express my sincere thanks to all the pastors, evangelists and Christians in the Mennonite Church, Canada and the world.

With sincere thanks,
Evangelist (Pastor) Nguyen Van Phuong
