Letter to armed actors to be published in Colombian Newspapers

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace and Cease Fire proclaimed by the United Nations for the 21st of September, we respectfully request that the President of Colombia as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Colombia, the Commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia- FARC-EP, the Commander of the National Liberation Army-ELN, and the Commander of the United Self Defense Forces of Colombia-AUC observe a cease fire for 24 hours on the 21st of September.

We also invite the Colombian population to consciously practice active nonviolence in all their relations during the same 24 hours.
