Communicating faith-based concerns about public policy to your congressperson--whether through a letter, phone call or a visit--is an underused but powerful means of witness. It is estimated that only five percent of Americans communicate with their representatives in government. Of those, only one percent communicate on matters going beyond self-interest to focus on the hurting people of our world.
