Minister Glen Alexander Guyton is blessed to have been called to be a lifelong shepherd of youth. He has been a faithful member of Calvary Community Church in Hampton, Virginia since 1993 where he and his wife Cynthia (Cyndi) serve as youth ministers to a growing group of over 500 young people from the ages of 4 to 22. After the completion of 4 years as an officer in the United States Air Force, Minister Glen felt the call to ministry. Min. Glen was licensed and appointed as youth minister in 1998 and ordained in 2003. Ministers Glen & Cyndi are the founders of Calvary Community Church's Generation Youth Ministry (Gen-Min), a passion driven focus on youth ministry that emphasizes the value of ministering to the entire family and continuity of youth disciple development. Minister Glen has also worked diligently with Eastern Mennonite University in the development of mentorship programs to promote theological training for High School youth. His work has also included the development programs to promote peace and justice amongst urban youth and provide students in these areas with alternatives to military service. Minister Glen has spoken to thousands of youth and adults throughout the United States, Jamaica, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ghana. He has helped to organize many community events in the U.S. and Hampton, Virginia, including Community Unity Day which was recognized by the mayor of Hampton in 1995. Minister Glen holds a Bachelors of Science in Management from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters of Education from Regent University. Ministers Glen & Cyndi are natives of Texas, Houston and San Antonio respectively.
