The September 8-14th edition of The Economist, a British news magazine, contained a briefing on the war in Iraq, and I must say, it put a damper on my optimism. The information in the article contained the number of Iraqi civilians killed most recently (2,700), the number of internally displaced civilians (1.1 million), and the fact that as of March 2007, only about 58% of Iraqis think they should have a unified country. Think about all those lives taken to provide the unified country Bush thought they should have. America should learn how to keep her nose out of other countries' business until she is asked for help.
