A joyous song of peace announced Jesus' birth (Luke 2:14). Jesus forgave wrongdoers, called for right relationships, and taught love of enemies (Matthew 5:44; 6:14-15). Will the toys and games you give this Christmas help spread the good news of Peace on Earth?

This Christmas, say "No!" to toy guns, Power Rangers, and Mortal Kombat video games.

Toys like these teach children that violence is an acceptable, even a fun way to handle conflict. Explain to them that because you follow Jesus, you will not buy toys and games that pretend hurting people is fun.

And then...

Give nonviolent toys and games!

• an animal squirter instead of a squirt gun...
• an astronaut instead of a Power Ranger...
• a Myst video game instead of Mortal Kombat...
• other toys that encourage cooperation and creativity.
